Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: 4 November 2026

NigeriaServe does not tolerate forced labour, human trafficking, child labour or sexual exploitation anywhere in our business or among the hotels and suppliers we work with. This statement sets out how we prevent them, for the previous financial year, 2025.

1. Our business and supply chain

nigeriaserve.com/ is an online hotel booking platform operated by Omega Training Limited (RC 1753408), registered at 22 Faulks Road, Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. We employ [NUMBER] staff directly.

Our supply chain has three parts:

Part Who How many
Accommodation partners Hotels, serviced apartments and guesthouses we contract with directly, mainly in Nigeria [NUMBER]
Booking partners Wholesale and online travel companies that supply rooms, such as Hotelbeds, Expedia Group and Booking.com [NUMBER]
Our own suppliers Web hosting, payment providers, customer support, marketing agencies, office services and contractors [NUMBER]

Why we publish this. Nigerian law does not require a company of our size to publish a statement like this. We do it voluntarily because hotels are a known setting for trafficking and sexual exploitation, and a booking platform can help prevent it.

2. Where the risks are

Our highest risk is in properties, not in our own office. The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has publicly warned hotel operators against allowing victims to be exploited on their premises, after raids that found trafficked women held in hotel rooms.

Risk Where it can happen Level
Sexual exploitation and trafficking of guests or others Rooms booked through any platform, including ours High
Forced or unpaid labour, withheld wages, confiscated ID documents Hotel housekeeping, security, laundry and kitchen staff, often hired through agents Medium to high
Child labour Small guesthouses and their suppliers Medium
Exploitative recruitment of migrant workers Properties outside Nigeria listed through booking partners Medium
Forced labour in our own suppliers Outsourced cleaning, security and call-centre work Low to medium

Laws that apply. The Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act 2015 makes trafficking, and harbouring or exploiting victims, criminal offences enforced by NAPTIP. The Labour Act and the Child Rights Act 2003 also apply in Nigeria. For partners in other countries, the laws of those countries apply as well.

3. What we do about it

Partner terms. Every accommodation partner agreement requires the partner to:

Checks before listing. We verify each direct partner’s CAC registration and operating licence, and visit or video-call [new properties / properties above a risk threshold] before they go live. We review partners again when guests, staff or the public raise concerns.

Booking partners and our own suppliers. We work only with booking partners that publish their own anti-slavery commitments. Contracts with our own suppliers, especially cleaning, security and call-centre contractors, include the same labour terms as above.

Training. All staff, and especially customer service and partner managers, are trained [yearly] to spot signs of trafficking: guests who seem controlled by someone else, many short stays booked for one person by a third party, or staff who say they cannot leave.

Reporting a concern. Anyone, including guests, hotel staff and our employees, can report a concern in confidence to hello@nigeriaserve.com or WhatsApp +234 809 448 2255. We do not penalise anyone who reports in good faith. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police or NAPTIP’s toll-free line, 0800-CALL-NAPTIP (0800 2255 627874), or short code 627.
