Terms of Service
These terms form the agreement between you and NigeriaServe when you use nigeriaserve.com/ or book through us. By making a booking, you accept them.
1. About NigeriaServe
nigeriaserve.com/ is operated by Omega Training Limited (RC 1753408), 22 Faulks Road, Aba, Abia State, Nigeria. Contact: hello@nigeriaserve.com, +234 809 448 2255 (phone and WhatsApp).
Our role. We are an online booking platform. We show stays offered by hotels, apartments and guesthouses (“accommodation providers”), take your booking and payment, and pass your booking to the provider. The accommodation provider supplies your stay and is responsible for it: the room, its condition, the facilities and how you are treated on site.
Some stays come from partner booking systems (see section 5). Each listing and your confirmation show who supplies the stay.
What forms your contract. When we confirm your booking, you have:
- a contract with NigeriaServe for our booking service, on these terms; and
- a contract with the accommodation provider for the stay itself, on the terms shown at booking (room type, meal plan, cancellation policy, house rules).
If these terms and the provider’s terms conflict on how the stay is delivered, the provider’s terms apply to the stay. Nothing in either can reduce your rights under Nigerian consumer law.
2. Using the site
- You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract to book.
- The details you give must be true and complete. If you book for others, you confirm they agree to these terms and to the provider’s house rules.
- Keep your booking reference and email private; anyone with both can view and cancel the booking.
- Use the site for genuine bookings only. You must not scrape it, copy listings, resell bookings commercially, test stolen cards, or interfere with its security.
- We may refuse or cancel a booking, or block access, where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a breach of these terms. If we cancel a paid booking for any other reason, you get a full refund.
The content, design and NigeriaServe name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for your own travel planning only.
3. Prices and payment
Prices. The total shown before you pay is the price for the whole stay and all rooms, including the room rate, applicable taxes stated on the listing and our service fee (details of the fee are available on request). Local charges the provider collects on site (for example a city tax, refundable security deposit or generator surcharge) are shown on the listing where the provider tells us about them.
Price checks. Prices can change while you browse. We re-check the price with the provider before taking payment. If it has changed, we show you the new total and you choose whether to continue.
Currencies. Prices are set in naira. Amounts shown in other currencies are estimates at our exchange rate. You are charged in the currency shown on the payment page, which depends on the method:
| Method | Charged in |
|---|---|
| Paystack (card, bank, USSD, transfer) | Naira [plus other currencies we enable] |
| Card through Stripe | Your selected currency where supported, otherwise US dollars |
| PayPal | US dollars |
| Bank transfer | Naira |
Your bank or card issuer may add its own fees or exchange charges.
Bank transfers. Your room is held for 48 hours while we wait for your transfer. Use your order number as the payment reference. If the money arrives after the hold ends, we re-check availability and price; if the room has gone or the price is higher, we offer you an alternative or a full refund.
Payment security. Card payments are processed on our payment providers’ secure pages. We never see or store your full card number.
4. Bookings, changes, cancellations and refunds
Confirmation. Your booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email with a NigeriaServe reference and, once the provider confirms, a hotel confirmation number. If we take your payment but cannot confirm the room, we will offer a comparable alternative or refund you in full, as you choose.
Cancellation policy. Each rate shows its policy before you pay:
- Free cancellation rates can be cancelled without charge until the deadline shown. Cancel online through “Manage a booking” with your reference and email.
- Non-refundable rates cost less and are not refunded if you cancel, except where the law or the provider allows.
- After a free-cancellation deadline, the provider’s cancellation charge applies, as shown at booking.
Changes. To change dates or guests, contact us. Changes depend on availability and may change the price.
If the provider or we cannot deliver. If your booking is cancelled by the provider or by us, or the stay is not provided as booked, you are entitled to a full and timely refund of what you paid, or a suitable alternative you accept. The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 (FCCPA) protects your right to a refund where advance bookings or reservations are not honoured.
No-shows. If you do not arrive and have not cancelled, the provider may charge the full stay or the no-show amount stated in the policy. Tell us or the provider as soon as you know you will arrive late.
How refunds are paid. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 48 hours of approval. Bank transfer refunds go to the account you name. Your bank may take longer to show the credit.
Check-in. Bring a valid photo ID. Providers may ask for a refundable deposit and may refuse check-in if you break their house rules or the law.
5. Partner-supplied stays and redirects
- Partner-supplied stays. Some rooms come from booking partners such as Hotelbeds or Expedia Group. You still book and pay through NigeriaServe and we remain your point of contact. The partner’s and provider’s conditions shown at booking also apply.
- Redirect offers. Offers marked “Book on partner site” take you to another company’s website, such as Booking.com. That booking is made with that company on its own terms, and you pay it, not us. We are not a party to that contract.
6. Reviews and conduct
You may review a stay you booked through us. Reviews must be honest, about your own experience, and free of abuse, personal data, threats, discrimination or advertising. We may decline or remove reviews that break these rules, but we do not remove reviews just because they are negative. We do not pay for reviews or let providers edit them.
Treat providers’ staff and property with respect. You are responsible for damage you or your guests cause, and the provider may charge you for it under its house rules.
7. Our responsibility to you
- We provide our booking service with reasonable care and skill, and we are responsible for our own mistakes, such as taking your payment and not passing your booking on.
- Listing information (photos, facilities, descriptions) comes from providers and partners. We check it where we can, but the provider is responsible for its accuracy and for the stay itself.
- We are not liable for losses you could not reasonably have foreseen when booking, or for events outside our reasonable control such as strikes, flooding or government action. In those cases we will still help you rebook or get the refund you are owed.
- Where the law allows us to limit liability, our total liability for a booking is limited to ₦1,000,000.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any right you have under the FCCPA or other law that cannot be excluded.
8. Complaints
- Contact us first at hello@nigeriaserve.com or WhatsApp +234 809 448 2255 with your booking reference. We respond to complaints within 48 hours.
- If a problem arises during your stay, tell the provider and us straight away so it can be fixed on the spot.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission through its complaints portal.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Courts in Nigeria have jurisdiction, without removing any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you book applies to that booking.
